From the end of the nineteenth century to today the community of Montesi residing abroad and their descendants has made more and
more numerous. But from generation to generation the bond with the land of origin is transmitted and
remains strong. In particular, the celebrations of August 15th are a moment in which the entire community, even that of overseas, è gathered in Monte di
Procida in a unique ancestral devotion.Since 2015 institutional trips of the municipal administration on the occasion of January 27, the date of the municipal autonomy of Monte di Procida, organized in synergy with the Montesi d ’America Committee, the goal of keeping this bond alive and building development opportunities in Italy and the USA starting from the theme of identities and traditions.
