The Necropolis of Cappella is part of a series of mausoleums built on the road that connected the port of Miseno with Cuma. It is the necropolis of the Preatoria Classis Misenensis that is the military fleet of Miseno. The study of the Necropolis allowed the reconstruction of information on the lives of the soldiers. Inside there are two frescoes, one of which is among the few in the world to depict the Greek divinity Selene, "guard of eternal sleep". It presents various types of burial from cremation to inhumation, mirroring the cultural changes of the Roman community.
